ROUTES

La Ribera  is located between the Jarama and Sorbe rivers, as a transition region from la Campiña to the Sierra Norte of Guadalajara, with its own micro-weather thanks to the Sierra of Ayllón and its rivers. This region has a mild climate.

The twelves little villages of La Ribera offer more than 100 routes dans a beautiful and untouchable landscapes:

The geologic structure, a nice climate and abundance of water allow an exuberant plant life, plenty of colors and contrasts which makes La Ribera a really beautiful site. The biodiversity is very interesting even the decreased number of animals. The Nature and the Histoy have been very generous with La Ribera. The low number of inhabitants was bad for the economical development of the region but fine for the conservation of natural resources.

Its monuments, its traditions, Village fiestas, (botargas y mascaritas, romerías), the friendly hospitality of people are more than enough to visit the region. Old routes cross the field and remind the visitor that here you can take your time…for you. Special recommendations:
